Country artist Clayton Johnson hails from the Central Valley agriculture town of Modesto, CA, where his family still resides on their ranch. He began his musical journey singing in church as a young child, picking up a guitar in 6th grade, and creating music with his 2 younger brothers in the one bedroom they shared together growing up.

Clayton has been featured as a model for Boot Barn, and has made appearances in a variety of work, including a guitar-playing role in the feature film “Hot Tub Time Machine”, a starring role in Sublime’s music video for “Take It or Leave It”, and a speaking role in DNCE’s hit song “Cake By The Ocean” after being cast by Gigi Hadid. He has played guitar for American Idol winner Scotty McCreery, MKTO, and Sabrina Carpenter, and has toured with a variety of artists including Third Eye Blind, LMFAO, Good Charlotte and more.

His writing and production credits include songs with Lana Del Rey, Bryce Vine, and his personal artist project, which alone has garnered millions of streams, landing him on top Spotify playlists “Next From Nashville”, “New Music Friday Country”, “Notable Releases”, and peaking number #1 on Snapchat’s Country playlist. Residing in Nashville, TN, Clayton writes about his personal experiences with life, relationships and heartbreak. He is no stranger to the stage or songwriting, and his country roots are on full display in his songs as he shares his stories and experiences through his lyrics and music.
