Kayslee Collins
KAYSLEE DON COLLINS is a luminous and powerful spirit reminiscent of classic heroines from the 1970s. Originally from San Diego, Kayslee's initial venture to Los Angeles included modeling and acting.
With music always being the focal point of her dreams, Kayslee began to pursue the art with a steady focus in 2018. Honing in on a sound that is timeless yet uniquely her own, Kayslee began collaborating with writers and producers, including Joe Keefe of Family of the Year - who produced and co-wrote her debut EP, Selfish Baby (released in 2019). Additionally, Tyler Blake, one half of the electronic duo Classixx, got his hands on the single "Sixteen" for a remix. It was the debut release for his solo project, oceans1985, and was featured on the viral hit Netflix series, Never Have I Ever.
Kayslee also set her sights even higher with songwriting credits on the soundtrack for new buzzworthy miniseries, Daisy Jones & the Six. Pitchfork labels Collins’, The River, “A propulsive, full-bodied production, it deploys an unabashed melody and succinct metaphors, relishing a moody post-chorus and roomy instrumental breaks.”
Kayslee’s latest venture is a collaboration with Producer Ian Walsh and writer Sophie Hintze. They based the project on the music Kayslee listens to daily and the music that continuously inspires her, such as Linda Rondstadt and Joni Mitchell.
